Foundation crack injection plus leak waterproofing

Sealing a crack stops one entry point. If hydrostatic pressure keeps building behind the wall, water can find another path. That is why many leaking-crack jobs pair repair with drainage.

The package often looks like this:

  • Crack repair: epoxy injection for structural cracks, polyurethane injection for leaking ones.
  • Water management: interior drain channel and sump, or exterior drainage and downspout fixes.
  • Cause check: grading, gutters, and signs of settlement or wall movement.

Horizontal cracks, stair-step cracks in block, or walls bowing inward may point to structural problems that injection will not fix. Ask whether an engineer should look first.

What it costs

Price depends on crack length and number, repair material, wall access, and whether drainage is added. Structural reinforcement, if needed, is a separate and larger cost.

FAQ

Will injecting a crack stop my leak for good?
It often stops that crack. If water pressure remains high, other spots may leak, so ask about drainage.
When should I get an engineer?
If cracks are horizontal, widening, stair-stepped, or the wall is bowing, get a structural opinion before paying for sealing.
